Intro to Beekeeping with Dodge Nature Center
Are you interested in getting hands-on in a hive? Dodge Nature Center is
offering a new Intro to Beekeeping program at Shepard Farm in Cottage
Grove, MN this year. Starting March 23, you'll work honey bees through the
entire season, from starting a new package in the spring, to harvesting
honey, and preparing the hives for winter.
This program is taught by Dodge farmers and meets once a month from March –
October 2022. For $280, you can dip your hands into the hive and experience
every aspect of beekeeping. Please note: participants must provide their
own protective gear.
